ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi

Sometime in the last day or so, when starting the game up, it no longer shows my username and password on the main menu online profile.

When I fill in the username, password, and press Enter, a dialog popup, titled "Login failed!", reads "Check your login and password or try again in a few moments." and offers a "Close" button. Each time.

I have exited and re-launched, rebooted my computer, tried logging in on te4.org(this succeeds), tried the launcher and -debug exe (I usually bypass launcher and run t-engine.exe), and even changed my password (and re-logged in to te4.org).

It does not prevent me from playing the game; except it doesn't allow me donator options.

I've included a couple of te4.logs. #2 includes temporarily removing all but "stock" addons and all save folders. All 3 are from this evening.

Any help would be appreciated, including guiding me to a more proper place if this isn't it.

Still unable to login from the main game menu.

I have tried re-downloading main game and DLC, removing old folders and expanding the freshly downloaded.

I compared old and new; game folder showed no differences, outside of log files, once patcher downloaded latest.

T-Engine under my user folder showed less files than old (settings mostly).

I am still able to login on te4.org with the same credentials that are failing from inside the game.

Tried installing on a different computer, just the downloaded zip and DLC.

Tried twice, same error both times.

Try downloading the game itself from https://te4.org/download, NOT the launcher. The launcher is known to cause various issues.

If that doesn't work, please contact DarkGod himself through the contact form on https://te4.org/help as he's the only one that can help with account/etc related issues generally.

Thanks , I did download from the download page and ran the patcher first; it was the only exe not already matching.

TIL, I did not know about the launcher issues; I normally bypass it when launching the game.

I will go to the help page.
