sustains is canceling after i switch weapon

I am not sure are this is contering as bug or as a feature - but this is annoying me 
1. I am a necromancer, and i have a Scepter of Archlich. This Scepter grants +0.2 to talent categore "Animus".
2. Also i have prodigy "swift hands". So in second equipments set i place another Stuff, that give me useful ability. As soon as i have not spend a turn to switch - it can be useful.
3. But when i press "q" - my sustain "Reaping" from "Animus" talent tree is canceled
And i must to activate it again... This is make so kind of switching is absolutely useless.
Is this a bug, or it work as intended?
P.s.: also every time i spend class point or generic point - all my sustains is canceled and then automatically cast again. It cost a soul for my, so this is annoying too...
