[1.7.4] Boss does not drop loot and quest log does not update if boss is killed the same turn an escort enters a portal

Experienced this when killing the boss of the old forest on the same turn that a sage escort entered the portal. Was playing level 15 anti-magic solipsist and sent the escort to zigur, don't know if any of that info is important.
