While fighting a unique banshee in Dreadfell, I somehow got a permanent "Lobotomized (Confusion)" debuff. Shatter afflictions rune is activatable, but the effect does not disappear. What can be done about it?

The food counter in the "View from the Gallery" book does not reset upon repeated reading. Also, the game sometimes crashes. Here is how it was. I started the book, Grung was killed. I started again immediately, but the food counter did not reset. On the second level, the game crashed. I loaded the save and everything repeated again: Grung was killed in the first reading, the counter did not reset during the reread and the game crashed on the second level.
