1.7.2Escorts no longer Spawning in Infinite dungeon campaign

As above escorts have stopped spawning in the ID for all the 1.7 versions (beta included) That I've played. It may possibly be connected to level generation issues that occasionally happen in the ID where levels will generate with no empty spaces, or without the player character being present on the map. but I have no evidence of any correlation between the two.
