[1.7.2] The Place That Does Not Exist keeps crashing

I've had a LOT of crash to desktop on Mac with this Forbidden Tome. Downloaded via Steam, on a Mac, latest production of macOS (11.0.1). Ugh, I can't figure out how to get the img tag to work right. Sorry.

I have restarted Steam, power off restarted the computer, and it's still happening. As a side note, I completed the dungeon last night and when I came back today, it was at one of the previous save points, where I hadn't finished it. I was so sad because this is a REALLY tough dungeon!
Any ideas? Is there anything else that I can provide?
