[1.7.0] Gates of Morning infinite loading screen

Gates of Morning induces an infinite loading screen for some people (not too uncommon). If attempted with dev mode enabled, produces the attached error. Problem can be bypassed by moderator teleporting out and manually deleting the zone file for Gates of Morning, after which it works as it should.
