[1.6.7] Krog Shadowblade & the non antimagic character

It's great that we get warned when we start a character that has the anti-magic tree, and magic trees since you can't invest in both . . . but unlike when we take the quest in Zigur we don't start with a point in Anti-magic and in the past we could skip it. I was amused a while back to read about someone's Krog paradox mage so I decided to give it a try with a shadow blade for high damage. I appreciated the warning, not going to invest that first point in anti-magic and drink the potion Zigur gave me during my treatment.
But in game it's acting like I drank the potion anyway . . . I've confirmed that the previously mentioned Krog Paradox mage that inspired me to try this also no longer can use his spells in this version of the game. That can't be intended behavior. If it was choosing Krog shouldn't give a warning against mixing the skills but should instead act like choosing an undead race . . . you simply can't pick an undead Wilder, the tree is greyed out.
The same SHOULD be the case for locking magic classes and trees if you aren't supposed to play them with the Krog; and they should start with the free point you get for completing the zigur quest, ditto for the Oozemancer who also starts with the tree. Normally I wouldn't try a magic using oozemancer, but I have considered it for the Dwarf class unlock since it seemed obvious I was being given the CHOICE to invest in anti-magic or not starting at level one. If that choice isn't there I'm just being robbed of a point every other race/class gets when they choose antimagic.
I'm not sure which is the bug . . . being allowed to choose these classes which I think gives you a great set of choices . . . or having the presence of the antimagic tree in 1.6.7 act as if you'd already invested points in it when you chose NOT to.
Either way I figure this should be reported. It's either a huge bug, or a confusing relic of that time period when we DID get that choice and Krog Paradox mages roamed Maj'Eyal.
