ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

At some point Orb of Thaumaturgy has broken on my character, beams will no longer fire at it under any circumstances. I haven't been able to figure out what actually happened after puzzling at it for a while. It seems to have happened after I took Adept at 42, but your guess is as good as mine why the heck that would cause it.

Was your character created in beta2? I had a similar issue on my archmage that was created during beta2 but I haven't managed to duplicate it on a new character
