Cannot download game

Hello. I am trying to download ToME but the download stops and the program appears to freeze at the point in this screenshot:
https://imgur.com/a/UpiMi0o. This is the second time I attempted the download. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Launcher has been buggy for a while, try downloading the game directly through the website at te4.org or through another platform if you own it there, then launch using the regular .exe.

It worked when I manually unzipped and ran the game .exe. thanks!
