Stealth rendering glitch on level entry

Been playing around with GrayStillPlays' stealth/throwing-knives rogue build (very nice, BTW), and several times now I've notice a minor rendering glitch: sometimes when I enter a level with Stealth active, the player will be invisible, and will stay that way for one or two steps. The grayed-out background effect also sometimes isn't there at first, but that usually kicks in pretty quickly.
