1.6.6 Steamsaw damage calculation problem in character sheet

I'm on Linux 64bit version 1.6.6.
I have had a lucky early drop of a t5 steamsaw while I was about level 20.
When I put the t5 steamsaw in my main hand, the character sheet shows nearly no damage at all for my main hand.
If I swap the t5 steamsaw to my offhand the character sheet looks normal.
Are there any special rules regarding steamsaws or higher tier gear that I am missing?
Or is this a bug in the character sheet?
Damage calculation in a real fight seems to work: I ran around with the t5 in my main hand for the last levels and I did not die yet
(I have another screenshot with the stats of both saws, but somehow the upload always fails – is the character dump enough information?)
