[1.6.5] Molten Metal not working with Steam Armor?

Unsure if it's:
1) Just not reported anywhere (char sheet OR attacks) but working(?)
2) Not working in all cases
3) Not working when combined with steam powered armor
Either way, attacks taken with molten armor report no decrease that could be attributed to it. I'm getting plinked by ice and fire attacks (which seem in its alley), but I only see the reduction from my steam powered armor (by exact count).
Repro:
Get blasted by any mage with Molten metal, no visible damage reduction.
