Hitting Enter At Character Select Undoes Your Choices

If you pick a class and a race, type a name, and then hit enter, you'll keep the name but be a Cornac Bulwark of that type.
It also launches the game in normal/adventure instead of selected difficulty.
It puzzled me a LOT before i figured that one out...
