[1.6] Yiilkgur became inaccessible

As the title says, Yiilkgur, The Sher'Tul Fortress became inaccessible to my character. I went through the Lake of Nur, and killed the Weirdling Beast. I was able to go in and activate the fortress and interact with everything like normal, I then went and completed the maze, I got the pop-up saying that the fortress had enough energy. But when I went back through the portal directly to the fortress, I spawned at the stairs and the door was locked as though the Weirdling Beast was still alive. There was no Weirdling Beast to kill so I couldn't re-enter the fortress.
I'm not sure what else I can add to this to help. There was no error or crashing of the sort. I was playing a Higher Chronomancer. My only stipulation might be that I used See The Threads to defeat the Weirdling, but I did not kill the beast during the duration. Maybe the whole "Can only be cast once per zone" clause of See The Threads caused a discrepancy when loading back in the second time.
I'd much appreciate being able to access the fortress again since I was on a good run, but at the very least I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. If there's any other relevant information I can give I'll do my best to help. I still have the character in my saves.
