ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I'm playing as a Star Elf / Aflicted at present, a troublesome pair of settings to start with with so few talents and abilities available. And playing as if i'm a Palladin too boot as it's my favorite format doesn't help.

Ok, so I got bored with normal mixes and have been trying a few 'odd' ones out.

After quite a bit of fighting (and a hell of a lot of hours), I finally level up enough and get to be able to fight Golbug and kill him, and no Orb in his dropped loot!

What do I do from here?

I really, really, don't want / intend to start again with this character, it's taken too long to get to this point, and all I want to do now is to get back to the Gates of Morning in Var'Eyal wher the character started, as I intend concluding it there as I don't think this combination can go much further as it is.

Did you enter the Unremarkable Cave before doing the Slazish Fens?

You can use the Lua Console to create an Orb with

Just a little note to finish.

Went through the portal and after a seriously nasty fight killed Krogar.

And got for my troubles an 'Orb of Many Ways'.

Never enter the Unremarkable Cave if you want to get the Orb to drop from the other Orc.
