Character stuck after lua error

I was ambushed by a patrol, then there was a lua error and the game crashed, upon reload my character is stuck in the lower right corner of the 'ambush' combat map and cannot move while game time passed by quickly. I cannot move, escape or otherwise get out of it. I am relatively new to the game and have already had this happen with three characters, it's extremely frustrating.

Could someone please help me get my character freed from this situation?

I don't know how to help you, sorry. The game should write a report when it encounters a error. That information may be useful for developers. In case you want to add a report I think the folder is
  • C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\T-Engine\4.0\tome\error-reports\ on Windows,
    ~/.t-engine/4.0/tome/error-reports/ on Linux,
    users/*username*/library/application support/T-Engine/4.0/tome/error-reports/ on Mac OS X

try to catch a mod on tomechat/discord/irc, say their name to ping them and they will be able to unstuck you.

If you can post the error message here we can try and stop it from happening repeatedly.
