ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I installed the 2 addons from the game menu but now I can't start a new game at all.

I get an error about talent already existing and something about demonologist class.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game in Steam but still same error - Solutions or ideas?

Well, not sure how it happened but after poking around, I noticed that I had installed Ashes and Embers twice thus causing the error..once I disabled the 2nd instance of each, I was able to start a new game.
