Adventurers not getting shoot talent

So I wanted to try a weird shooter adventurer, but Talent Shoot doesnt appear on my skill list and I cant use bows even though I have Master Marksman talent. I know Steady Shot gives shoot talent but I dont want to unlock that category just for shoot talent. I think it would make more sense for Master Marksman to give the shoot talent since if you are gonna shoot there is no way you are not going to take that talent anyway. Another solution could be giving adventurers shoot talent by default, since I cant see any reason why they shouldnt have that in the first place.

you can buy the shoot talent for 8 gold at newhope.

Can we just make ranged weapons grant the Shoot talent instead of requiring it already?

This makes the most sense to me. It would work the same way shield grant the Block talent.

duh - so then you can't start adventurer yeek, dwarf, etc, if you want steamguns etc.

Agreed. ID adventurers are completely screwed if they want steamguns.

I've seen this come up before, multiple times, and I really see no reason why
all characters should not start with 'Shoot', just as they start with 'Attack'. 'Shoot' should merely be a talent used to facilitate so-called archery attacks. If no special talent is required to pick up and swing a sword, what makes ranged weapons so different? How proficient you are with any given weapon, ranged or otherwise, is dependent on your stats and the talents you know, anyway.
I don't have much time to play or code these days, but this would be a pretty easy and straight-forward mod to make. So, I did

With this addon,
all actors will generate with the 'Shoot' talent, just as with 'Attack'.
