ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

When starting a new (normal/roguelike) game with a female cornac shadow blade I do not get _any_ sidequests anymore in Tollmire 2 & 3.
When starting the same with a male one, I do get the sidequests.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

What kind of side quest?

As in escorts or what?

Also proof ToME is sexist.

Location of escorts is random

Trollmire 2/3 guide some tired traveller to his/her portal.

Very strange if this is random :-/ I really _hardly_/_don't_ get any sidequests (guide some poor fellow to a portal) when playing as a female, and _always_ (not yet proven otherwise) when playing as a dude.

Could try this 10 times in a row for both, just to make a point?

It's completely and utterly random, you're just unlucky/lucky. The escorts are scattered from trollmire (T1's) to dreadfell (T3). Also might be confirmation bias. If you really want to, you can check the log file every time you generate a character (tells you where escorts are generated) to test your hypothesis.

Must be me, but can't just leave it at that will test
And indeed, confirmation bias is lurking around the corner, but not here to blame ToME for being sexist or whatever, god no, just struck me as odd behaviour.
