no cloak of deception when killing necromancer during dying

I got killed and killed the necromancer at the start of the skeleton starting zone at the same time - the 'Spare me' message reached me when I was next to the Eidolon. I didn't get the cloak there, and on resurrection, I didn't get it in the normal dungeon as well.
