Black screen on OSX

I unzipped the download, and I clicked the app, but all that comes up is a blank screen.
DoomRL is also not working. Shouldn't macs just work?
Another edit:
I've been looking at my log, and it says:
Available video driver: cocoa
Available video driver: dummy
dummy is probably not the best video driver available.

Macs only "just work for" Apple software.
I suggest making a bug post and supplying the log file.

Apparently someone else has the same error on the bug report forum. Gotta go there.

I'm seeing that black screen upon launch as well. This is after upgrading the OS to 10.12 "Sierra". T-engine was working fine before.
