ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So my game froze after i clicked the library in the fortress. The progress is stuck at %51, but the music is playing.

I also tried around 10 times after this crash, the game froze every single time at different percentages. The funny thing is if it got stuck after %90, i hear the sound of earning the achi but nothing happens.

I have the exact same problem since the last update. Never bothered to report it, though, since I never use the library anyway.

Too much knowledge for your character to handle?

while i have some lag issues with it, and sometime brakes when i scroll too low, it never froze during the loading for me.
but at the same time, i have neither the embers or ashes.

Can you start the game with flush log option (in the launcher), trigger the problem and send me te4_log.txt file please?

Mine also crashes when I update my library. I think it is because I once had a mod that that added artifacts to the game. Now that I don't have that mod I believe the library crashes when it's updating the now absent artifacts lore. I could be wrong though.

Any idea how I'd fix it? Can I go through somewhere and manually delete the mods artifacts lore? Any way to reset or get a clean copy of the Known Lore. I'll upload my crash report when I can

Well you could try following darkgod's instructions from above. We need to find out exactly what is going wrong before it can be fixed.
