ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Can't get the current version of the game to play on my Win 8.1 tablet. Works fine on my laptop. But when I've had this problem with other games/programs it always needs a 32 bit version. Any such thing for this game? Thanks.

I suppose your tablet's architecture is not x86, but ARM... If that's the case, you'll have to try compiling the binaries from source, if you're experienced enough.

I may be wrong, so just tell us you tablet's model.

You're probably right It's a Dell Venue 8 Pro 64GB it has an Intel Atom Z374OD processor. 2GB memory. I think enough bad things have happened in 2016 already than for me to try to compile a game from binary code. I would be fine with playing an older version if that's possible. I actually had this running on Lenovo Miix Tablet in early 2014. I think that had ARM to. I've actually bought this game 3 times. Off the website, on GOG and Steam as well as played back in the day. You guys deserve the support. I'll keep playing on my laptop but it would be nice to have on my tablet. Thanks for the prompt reply.

That processor is not ARM.
The game must run on your tablet.

Try explaining what steps you've done when trying to start the game?

Should work on your tablet, because all windows binaries are 32-bit.
Just extract the ZIP archive somewhere, for example to C:\Program Files.
Then run "t-engine.exe".

P.S.: I do not recommend starting the game with "t-engine-launcher.exe" on devices with Intel Atom processors - runs extremely slow for me. Use just "t-engine.exe".

Hey, I the first thing I did before I even posted was try all the compatibility settings manually. then I tried the automatic troubleshoot route. No joy either place. I think the tablet has problems with OPENGL so I very laboriously shut all those off in the options. Plus the shaders. I was installing in my GOG folder (I've bought this off Te4 and GOG and tried using GOG set up and the Te4 zips) so I followed your steps and it makes no difference installing it in the C drive. I made sure I'm starting the T-engine not the launcher it as and admin. I've even gone back and tried to install the 1.4.0 version to see if that would work. ind of at my wits end. Thanks for your input, ANy more ideas?

T-Engine requires OpenGL 2.1. Does the tablet support that?
