I can dig out glass wall (porthole actually) there, which should lead to violent death in vacuum, or I shouldn't be able to do this. First is a ragequit punishment, second is logical decision, it is space ship after all.
If this topic in wrong place please move it in Ideas.

If the demons can do it, why not the Sher'tul?

What makes you think the walls are there to keep the atmosphere in?

Because um... nobody can breathe vacuum, even Sher'Tul? Who actually was a planet life form, not interplanetary or interstellar.

i think HP was implying, that walls work both ways. so if not to keep something in, then to keep something out.
that would probably still be death, but in a different way. unless that something has left by now.

but seriously, in the same game, we visit, abashed expanses, temporal rift, fearscape...

also, while Sher'Tul have been made on a green planet, that doesn't mean they definitely do need the atmosphere.
because magic.

Magic require energy, if "magic" is answer for all question, why their ship have wall and floor at all?

Because that's too much magic.

Because if you're a god-slayer hanging out in the middle of space, you may as well do it in style.

The walls could be purely there for aesthetics.

That's what I wanted to say exactly - too much magic to make portholes from magic.

Then it is not stylish to make diggable portholes.

Or they coudn't, this is too wide range of guessing.
