ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

In the last few weeks, I've ran into multiple times where ToME will not log me in online on game startup. Re-entering my login credentials won't work.

This is not cleared by restarting the game, or the computer. It is particularly frustrating if you have the Stone Warden module, because it won't load without online verification, and lack of that will prevent loading a save where the module is active, even to play offline.

Judging from when you posted this, possibly daily server reset? Although it wouldn't surprise me if it went wacky at some other point I haven't observed it doing so lately.

I've had this problem forever also.

I've also had this problem occasionally for a few years now, but never really thought about it. I just assumed that it was my connection.

For me it seems to happen pretty consistently at certain times of day, typically around 10pm or 11pm New York time (more the latter recently — possibly coinciding with the DST switch-over, now that I think of it).
