golems eyebeam cannot travel through space

if you are in, for example, abashed expanses, and try to fire it off into space, you can't.
it only go as far as the platform.
since you don't operate the eyebeam and not everyone can go into space, this might have gone unnoticed for who knows what.
well, there are ways to get the ayabeam in there.
