everything _white_ strolling to final level of kor'pul

I've previously had problems with a mostly black screen in two areas.
This time everything was white. I "strolled" to the final level of the ruins of kor'pul and everything was white except chat, toolbar, floating text etc.
I could see I was being attacked by a thief. I went upstairs and back down again, and interface was normal again.
Maybe I should have taken a screenshot. I've been to final level of kor'pul normally and never had this happen.
I have framebuffers and opengl off after the black screen problems.
I have a log file though if that's any use.
