Bad Wording 2.0 - Gestures of Pain + Psiblades

So as it turns out, Gestures of Pain and Psiblades don't work together. At this point I am no longer surprised at stuff like this because awesome syngery just kinda seems to be removed from the game without a real reason
Here's why I'm slightly upset at this:
Gestures of Pain's describtion:
Use a gesture of pain in place of a normal attack to assault the minds of your enemies, inflicting between 43, 59, 70, 80, 89 and 86, 117, 141, 161, 179 mind damage. If the attack succeeds, there is a 12%, 15%, 18%, 20%, 22% chance to stun your opponent for 3 turns.
This strike replaces your melee physical and checks your Mindpower against your opponent's Mental Save, and is thus not affected by your Accuracy or the enemy's Defense. It also does not trigger any physical on-hit effects. However, the base damage and the critical chance of any Mindstars equipped are added in when this attack is performed.
This talent requires two free or mindstar-equipped hands and has a 25% chance to inflict cross tier effects which can be critical hits. The damage will increase with your Mindpower. Mindstars bonuses from damage and physical criticals: (+0 damage, +0 critical chance)
Psiblades' describtion
Channel your mental power through your wielded mindstars, generating psionic blades sprouting from the mindstars.
Mindstar psiblades have their damage modifiers (how much damage they gain from stats) multiplied by 1.45, 1.60, 1.72, 1.81, 1.90, their armour penetration by 1.23, 1.47, 1.66, 1.81, 1.95 and mindpower, willpower and cunning by 1.45, 1.60, 1.72, 1.81, 1.90.
Also increases Physical Power by 13, 26, 39, 52, 65 and increases weapon damage by 25%, 36%, 44%, 50%, 57% when using mindstars.
Sooooo, Gestures of Pain says "It also does not trigger any physical on-hit effects. However, the base damage and the critical chance of any Mindstars equipped are added in when this attack is performed", which means that the base damage of you mindstars (which I always thought to be the damage on your character sheet) is being added to Gestures of Pain's damage, which is absolutely wrong.
According to someone on the forums, Psiblades modifies you physical attacks, which are ignored by Gestures of Pain (which sucks but makes sense). However, there is no real indication of this happening; especially since the text clearly says that base damage is added on top of Gestures of Pain's damage.
