This can't be working as intended. Thankfully I lucked out and had a blood of life.

Ivyvena the snow giant's temporal clone's Arrow Stitching hits Mr. Porings for (52 resonance), 52 physical, (2 antimagic), 0 darkness, 2 healing (52 total damage) [2 healing].

Mr. Porings uses Oozebeam.
Mr. Porings uses Slime Spit.
Mr. Porings stops regenerating health quickly.
Mr. Porings's nature damage is no longer so potent.
Ivyvena the snow giant casts Thread the Needle.
Mucus ooze uses Slime Spit.
Ivyvena the snow giant slows down.
Mr. Porings's Slime Spit hits Ivyvena the snow giant for 384 nature damage.
Your resonance field crumbles under the damage!
The psychic field around Mr. Porings crumbles.
Mr. Porings is recovering from the damage!
Saving game...
Mr. Porings shares damage with her oozes!
Ivyvena the snow giant's Thread the Needle hits Mr. Porings for (74 resonance), 13102 physical (13102 total damage).
Mr. Porings the level 40 thalore oozemancer was bludgeoned to death by Ivyvena the snow giant on level 3 of Ardhungol.

I coulda sworn there was a similar thread (heh) about this same exact talent one shotting someone...

EDIT: but I can't find it so maybe not.

And RIP. Bumped into another random rare (not even a unique, or boss) with this talent, 9200 damage and instant death.

Are people actually clearing insane/roguelike with this in game? It doesn't seem all that infrequent.

If possible, it would be useful to get a look at the offending creatures character sheet.

Never mind, I can see what is going wrong.
It is using 'dam' as the damage multiplier but sets the value on 'damage' instead.
