ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Whenever I try to start a new game, the progress bar stops at 100% and all the text boxes on the screen start flickering. Is there anything I can do?

Check the log. Most likely it's an addon conflict. Go to whatever folder your tales of maj'eyal game is located and look for the te4.log.
