ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have a level 22 char that I just killed the mob that unlocks the cursed class (don't remember his name, like level 9 in a town). After killing him, I am unable to move. I just keep getting 'You are unable to move!'. I hit the 5 numlock key hundreds of times, tried the wild infusion.... I can teleport (infusion), but nothing lets me move again.

Is there a workaround? Some way to modify the save file so I can move again?

This is going to sound stupid, but... are you encumbered? Check your inventory and see what your weight/capacity is at. Try dropping a few things. Odds are, the loot he dropped or the pickaxe put into your inventory as a reward was too heavy, and now you have too much stuff.

Yep, that was it, I'm stupid Haven't played a rouge-like in a few years and forgot about that. Thanks! It'd be AWESOME if the message said something like 'You can't move because you're carrying too much stuff idiot!'
