ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Wanted to play some characters from before the update. When i selected them the game warned me, want to run it with the old system or convert it to the new system, there may be problems. I did not heed the warning and moved a 1.25 character to the latest version. Seemed to be working fine, I could play and kill things. Leveled up, tried to apply points and accept, got an error message. Sent in the report. Game doesn't crash but it won't let me accept the changes, have to click NO in order to leave the level up screen.

Someone named stuntofthelitter posted a link in the ingame chat, but I was unable to follow the instructions to find the game file so he could fix it for me.

Can anyone help pls?

What operating system are you running? If Windows then the directions to find your save listed on my site should be correct.

Ah found it, added the zipped up file. And then it said file is too big even zipped up the save file is 10,008kb. I think I'm doing something wrong

KB or MB? 10,000KB would only be 10MB (the file attachment limit is 55MB) and should be fine. If for some reason it's crazy huge make sure you zipped just the character folder and not the entire /save/ folder.

If for some reason my server was being wacky and not cooperating, upload it at http://www.filedropper.com/ and put a link in the ticket.

Alright, fixed. Next time please create a ticket through my site, it's far easier for me to keep things tracked and organized.

Thanks for fixing it. I'm guessing I unzip it to the same file directory and delete the old files before starting the game?

I'm so noob here I don't even know about your site. I have a few other characters from 1.25 who may turn out to have the same issue. Think I might leave them in the 1.25 just to be safe

Yup, get rid of the old copy of the save and then stick the fixed one in its place!
