ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I was doing Pikatacylsm (the rabbit special event?), fighting monsters and suddenly I could only see my square and nothing else. I figured it was some kind of blindness debuff, so I tried to wait it out. However, it never went away. I recalled out of there (it turns out you can't go back if you do that...) and went to some other areas. In some places, my vision is still reduced to only my square(golem graveyard, last hope graveyard, tempest peak). In others, I can see just fine (overworld, Friendly cities, low-level dungeons, including Kor-Pul, which is normally dark). It says my character's light radius is 0 and vision radius is 10. I have a light equipped with +2 light radius however.

Look through your inventory for why your lite radius is 0.

Color me ignorant. I didn't realize there was an item reducing my light radius. In my defense, I've never gotten that item before. Thanks for the help.
