[1.3.1] TW Can't Use Slings

Ok, so first up I know TWs aren't really meant to use slings... I just happened to find a really nice one at low level, and I obviously have the talents to use it.
So here's the deal: if I have two melee weapons equipped, when I try to use Shoot, it auto-switches to my melee weapons and tells me I don't have a ranged weapon equipped.
If I take off my main set weapons and equip only the sling, it auto-switches from the sling to the sling (seriously) and tells me I don't have a ranged weapon equipped.
This is using the basic Shoot talent. I do have bullets equipped as well.
