ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Just got instantly kileld by a crazy-damage tornado. I am kinda new to the game but this seems to me like an overflow of some variable.

Void horror's Tornado hits Gumba X for (15 resist armour), 166315441 lightning (166315441 total damage).
Gumba X the level 15 skeleton brawler was zapped to death by a void horror on level 3 of The Maze.

in the late game hits can get around 1000, if you really try, maybe 10k.
i think i have heard of one shotting athamaton with garknul's power and skull cracker...
you got hit by 166m, and in the maze, which is a mid tier dungeon.
enough damage to kill the final boss a thousand times, coming from an elite tier mob.
that is definitely not right.

That's... A lot of damage. At first I thought it was something in the ID. But yeah, something is not right.
