ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I know I'm probably being dumb, but I literally have no idea how to get the game started. I chose a path but now I have no idea where to go from here. The play button doesn't work.

What operating system? What/where did you download, etc. You should be able to run t-engine.exe or t-engine-launcher.exe if it's any windows build.
