ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've searched a few pages of results and haven't found this listed, hopefully it's not a duplicate.

When I originally found Gates of Morning, Limmir was in the usual spot on the South side of town. I spoke to him, started the process of asking of asking him for a ring, and cancelled. I did not have the tome at the time. I've since found the tome, but I can't find Limmir again. The Lost Knowledge quest update is telling me to bring it to the jeweler still, nothing about a scroll (which I don't have), and the map hasn't been updated with his new location, so I don't think the issue is that the quest has advanced and he's moved normally.

I saw a suggestion about using the portal in the Spider cave to get to Gates of Morning, which I have tried with the same result. And I even went as far as using the Reknor portal, which also didn't work.

To make sure, you still have the "Ancient Tome titled 'Gems and their uses'" in your inventory and haven't given it to Limmir yet? If this is the case I'm not really sure what could have gone wrong, but I can potentially fix it. Open a ticket and submit your save, I can take a look - http://tome.gatheringspot.org/hesk/
