Did you check whether it affected the speed, or just the speed display?

I believe it just display, but the bug was "fixed". Seems it can unfix itself and still show up.

The character sheet bug was corrected, but its quite possible that the talent... Wait, I'll just check the code...

I can't see anything wrong in the code, and I can't replicate it in game.

It does affect the actual speed. It's easy enough to spot if you use like a shielding rune and then use greater weapon focus: Sometimes you lose one turns worth of shield duration, sometimes you lose two. I don't think it's all stamina using talents, just the ones that use "weapon" speed. Shield attack skills display the use speed at 100 % as usual. Also checked that using block always reduces the shield duration by one as it's supposed to.

I can only see three ways it could be going weird:
You have a status on you slowing you down.
You have a slower weapon in offhand.
You have an addon messing it up.

Not relevant since the "control group" of the same character without the gloves provides different results. If I had some kind of global speed malus it would have the same effect on gauntlets and no gauntlets situations. I also tried this for dozens and dozens of times so temporary status effects had plenty of time to wear off .

I have a speed 100 mace and a shield which doesn't show its attack speed as they never do.

No addons besides vault and no DLC active either in this game.

The bug occurs with shields, as they have no combat table but the code thinks they do.
EDIT: and fixed. Thanks for the thorough data again, you made it really easy to spot the bug.

No problem, I'm glad it's fixed now!

Mind you, before 1.3, the bug occured with EMPTY hand. Which was atrocious.

I didn't check a shield.
Why didn't you tell me you had a shield!
