1.3 Crown of Burning Pain

I have been using the Crown of Burning Pain and there seems to be an issue with its damage formula. It instantly kills anything I hit with it.

Also, I can no longer load this character. The load screen hangs at 100%.

Have the save half-fixed but am trying to investigate what is going on here still to fix it entirely.

game.player.spellpower_reduction = -1
game.player.spell_failure = -20
That was the problem. Unsure what caused this really, SOMETHING with antimagic disruption gear interactions. Perhaps psychometry? Really don't know. All variable inspection seemed to indicate the character had 0 spellpower no matter what, but I think this is pretty telling:

I've triggered the cultist event to the point where the nasty thing shows up, and it often (always?) comes bearing the Crown of Burning Pain. It single-shotted me with the meteor strike in situations where it felt it shouldn't have.

unfortunately that's probably just bad luck and not this. This is specifically caused by certain values on the player getting screwy so the crown doing infinite damage when they use it.

I'd love to have the crown be able to summon her. Like how there is an item I had that can summon a vampire, but she is teh hotty, so it would be cool to be able to summon her with her crown. But all but one time I got the crown to find its stats totally sucked. Right now I have it with 25% bonus but often its 5%. Figure its just the random roll, but it really doesn't seem like it should be a junky item. Ability to summon her with it would be awesome.

The Crown's stats aren't random; they're fixed, and are determined by how many cultists you kill to trigger the battle with S.
If you kill only one cultist, S will be at her strongest, and the Crown will yield a fantastic +35% fire damage.

thx yeah I just realized this.
I tried to make her my friend by healing her but her -100 hostile never improved no matter how nice I was to her : (
