[1.3 git] lore found on ambush

Got ambushed by a group of adventurers. As the encounter started, I found lore on Iron Mail of Bloodletting.
Needless to say, I don't have the item.

Did any of the adventurers have it equipped?

I've had the same bug occur on 1.2.5. Sometimes when I enter a zone, I'll mysteriously have an item lore popup. Here's an example from a popup I got immediately after creating a new Sun Paladin:

It could be that an NPC had the item equipped, but I'm not sure.
