Have cleared all four pride zones and have all orbs from them but cannot enter charred scar zone. I want to do this before going to the peak.

charred scar is the place where you meat the sorcerers for the first time.

if i remember corectly, the farportal there leads to the overmap of the far east. doesn't seem like you would have any use of it.

You need to use the Orb of Many Ways while standing in the Eruan portal to get to Charred Scar. If that's not working, I don't know what to tell you.
