[1.25] Screen flickers and game becomes unresponsive

I just recently purchased the steam version, along with Ashes. Within an hour of playing I've had three instances of the screen begin to flicker (once red while in the new demon starting zone, twice black while in kor'pul) and the game locks up, requiring me to end the process manually. I'm not sure what skills I was using at the time, but I am playing a Shalore Doombringer and only have the tier 1/2 talents unlocked.

I had this happen, too, I thought it was just a general bug, but I was also playing a Doombringer and a Shalore, and it's not happened even once with my current Cornac Demonologist.

This means a lua error occurred in the interface. You need to open the log file after terminating the game to retrieve the error.

It is very likely that you used fiery aegis and another shielding (probably your rune) at the same time. Fiery aegis doesn't play nice with other shielding effects and crashes the game currently.

Yeah, Shalore start with a Shield Rune so it's easy to trigger that bug right from the start with those guys.

Let me know if this is the log file you need darkgod. Did some testing and it is definitely fiery aegis + another shield as Stuntofthelitter suggested. I guess I'll swap to a healing rune for now!
