Character disappearing from the character list

This character seems to be ok and not dead but it doesn't show up in my playable characters list (i have 3 different PCs with Steam version of the game installed on 2 of them and a downloaded version from te4.org on a third but it is nowhere available). Even if I choose to dispaly characters from outdated versions, that guy is still lost. Is there a way to get it on again?
The problem appeared after I had a Win 7 crash while playing. After a reboot my dear Cornac went to an invisible mode.
