Kinetic Surge self-push not functioning

On my game in version 1.2.5 (Mac, Steam, Ashes), the self-push function on the Mindslayer's Kinetic Surge isn't working properly. [edit]Actually, it's only partly working – see below.[/edit] It works fine when I try to throw another creature. But when I try to use it on myself:
  • 1) I target myself
    2) I select the target destination (up to 6 tiles, as per the description)
    3) My psi is drained by the proper amount, I hear the sound effect, and the particle effect displays properly, but my character doesn't move
I tried turning off all my sustains just in case something was interfering with it. But having looked through all the active ability descriptions, I can't find anything that seems like it would interfere with the self-push so it seems like it's a bug.

Which is a shame, because that talent just drips with awesome. :D

[edit]I should also mention that if I activate Kinetic Surge when I'm adjacent to exactly one enemy, it auto-selects the enemy as the target and goes right to the radius-2 destination targeting reticle.

[double-edit]After doing some more tests with it, it now looks like it also doesn't properly knock other targets in a line back when I toss an enemy through them. I'm not seeing a knockback resist, either. For example: I threw a cave bear past a minotaur down a straight corridor, and here's the results (with screenshots below):

Borabas uses Kinetic Surge.
Cave bear resists the punch!
Cave bear shrugs off the effect 'Stunned'!
Borabas hits Cave bear for 57 physical 28 physical (86 total damage).
Minotaur slows down.
Borabas hits Minotaur for 29 physical, 12 temporal, 8 physical, 9 lightning damage (59 total).

Hopefully a large pile of Mindslayer corrections will be included in v1.3.

Mm, good to hear. It looks like they got a major revamp recently – looks like that may have introduced some snags?

As long as we're at it, do we know if there's an ETA on 1.3, or is it in the realm of "soon™"?
