ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I donated today and bought the new DLC Ashes of Urh'rok ingame and it worked fine. After that i decided to buy the DLC via steam too, to support the game. But now the game stucks when i start a new game. It loads to 100% but nothing happens.
I can load my old game (non DLC) but it is impossible to start new one.
Well in my Addon list that DLC is listed twice now.
What can I do to fix that? I tried to reinstall . . . didn't help.
When I deactivate the Addon, normal game starts.
I guess the problem is that the game loads the DLC twice.
Pls help me

I was having the same problem, I checked the Addons screen prior to starting a new game and found the DLC listed twice. I manually disabled one instance of this and it resolved the issue.

Not sure how the problem arose, but I suspect it's because I originally bought the DLC direct from te4.org and then later used the web UI to apply it to my Steam account. I think this may have caused it to get loaded twice.

It actually ended up that even though I disabled one version of the addon it actually disabled both. My fix was to actually browse down to my game folders and remove ashes-urhrok.teaac from the game/addons folder (Steam version must load another way). Once I did this and restarted I only showed a single instance of the DLC and things started up fine. Best of luck!

The steam version keeps the addon in the DLC folder, so there can be another copy in the addons folder which will cause the game to try to load the addon twice. The two addons trying to occupy the same location causes a rift in the space-time continuum and the game freezes.
