Mutliple Bone giants

Greetings.

So I've been playing around with a necromancer, and found out that you can have multiple Bone Giants in your party, despite the Assemble description stating that you may have only one.

I don't pretend to know the mechanics of the game, but I would wager that your party is stored as a queue/stack.

When a Bone Giant dies, he will be popped out of the queue/stack, however he will resurrect via Re-assemble and continue to follow you around.

But he will not be pushed back in you party list, thus making available the construction of a new one and the possibility of creating an army of these things.

Sorry if the bug was already reported. I searched the forums before posting and didn't find anything about this.

PS: Also whenever a minion steps on a trap on the floor, for example: a poison trap, the player will be inflicted with the 5 turn poison as well. Kind of annoying! >=X

Did you use Animus / Essence of the Dead maybe? How many are "multiple"? Up to your summoning limit?
And I don't see why parties should be saved in a queue/stack instead of a simple array. In a stack/queue it would be important when you summon a bone giant or you can't pop / dequeue him at all.

I have not used any talent from the Animus tree.

Only the Necrotic minions - Create minions, to produce the 3 necessary for the creation of a Bone Giant; Aura mastery, to keep them alive; and the Advanced minions - Assemble, to create the Bone Giant.

Well, regardless how the party is stored as, when a Bone Giant dies it will be dequeued, yet still linger around because of the resurrection via the Re-assemble talent.

How many of them can be produced? I would say as far as your aura's extent.

This is an example of how it looksImage

Note that only the Runed Bone Giant is part of my party, yet i still retain control over the rest.

Obviously you're using quite a few addons, Galax

why don't you tell us which ones you're using?
it'd make determining if this bug is caused by your addons much easier

None of them are.
The free life saving on Reassemble causes it.

I generally avoid addons because of the nasty gamebreaking/crashing experiences I've had in the past using them.
The only ones I'm keeping active all the time are the "Allow respec anywhere" and "Orc Breeds restoration".

I can confirm this bug exists and it has nothing to do with extra addons. The resurrected bone giants won't follow you out of the level, though. If you want loads for bone giants for one tough level, you can apparently create lots.

Other Necro bugs or possible bugs:

- enter the final room (High Peak 11) with too many summons (I think I had 2 bone giants and 6-8 other minions, total 8-10 including the shadows of the liches) and the game gives you LUA errors (which leads to you dying most likely)

- your summoned minions drop artifacts when dying (spam Hidden Resources -> Create Minions -> Undead Explosion and get free artifacts). The minions are created with the artifacts; one of my minions was created with the artifact boots which leave the trail of fire behind when you walk around and I wondered why my minion leaves a trail of fire behind him. Until the minion died; it dropped those boots.

- your Vife Life/Elemental Discord talent hurts your minions even if you have maxed dark empathy ("Grave Wight Minion's cold area effect hurts MyNecro for 0 damage --> Grave Wight Minion is frozen!") ... the philosophical question is whether they damage you for 0.00 or don't damage you at all I guess, so not necessarily a bug :--)

This also applies to the orc spirit summoned from Garkul's set. He occasionally dropped, uppon death, a high tier massive plate.

I believe it is true for every summoned unit that usually could spawn with that item (if spawned by the game).

This bug has been around for years and I can confirm it has nothing to do with addons.
