[1.2.3] Mindslayer shields buggy

Unless I am misunderstanding something, my mindlsayer shields are behaving very oddly.

I am regularly absorbing close to 130+ damage, when the description says 24% percent or thereabouts, to a max of 50, or thereabouts.

eg:

But what is really wierd, is that I didn't have the darkness shield on at all for the following, which saved my life!!

That's 198 darkness absorbed when the shield that absorbs darkness is not on.

Is this a bug, or is there another talent could do this?

"To psi shield" is probably the "absorb" you are talking about. The sustains negate a fraction (said 24%/50 damage) of the described 4 elements "to psi shield".

If you disable a psi shield and got at least talent level 3, you get a full absorb shield (like the shield rune) and that says "absorbed" in combat log (not "to psi shield").
Thoose shields absorb all kind of damage (in your expample this might have happend to the darkness damage) not just the 4 elements the sustain does.

The value of the full absorption shield is 2 times the damage the sustain shield negated in the last 3 rounds (it's shown in your bar with the sustains.), so you probably disabled a shield and switched to another one and got a full absorb shield that absorbed the darkness damage.

um, one problem, I never disable the shields. I just run around with them on to absorb a bit of damage.

now that my character is level 38, i am sometimes absorbing 500+ damage. great for me, but very buggy i think.

Hm thats strange. I am constantly playing mindslayer since rework and never had this. Are you using any mods or maybe wearing The Untouchable or something like that?
