no ingredient drop?

It's my understanding from the wiki that if a creature is capable of dropping an ingredient, it always will? Today I encountered a Fire Wyrm, and expected to find a Vial of Fire Wyrm Saliva (I assume the two go together?) on it's death, but no such luck. As it happens, I (as a yeek) dominated it, and then it was dead at the end of combat - I suspect at enemy hands, though it's possible the domination expired without my noticing it. Not sure if that makes any difference?

Was it actually a Wyrm? Or was it just a Drake?

Definitely a wyrm, I had been searching for one for some time, and was all excited to finally find one. (They also stand out visually, being two tiles tall.)

Well I'm impressed you managed to dominate it then. :)

I didn't think that the dominate interfered with the ingredient drop either.

Housepet: *shrug*, well I got the vial eventually. Dominate is a great 1-point wonder, though it doesn't seem to benefit much from investment. (One of the reasons I want to get into modding is to attempt to tweak stuff so every skill is equally viable... if that's even possible.) I love to dominate the strongest creature in a group and let it tank for me, or draw fire while I run away. :D

edge2054: thanks! I've been using variants on time-themes intermittently as usernames since grade school. I think I used the phrase "time lord" before I started watching the doctor, by pure coincidence. Seemed appropriate for this game, I look forward to trying the temporal classes. :)
