Stairs Missing in Sandworm Lair

I spent about an hour IRL searching every single bit of a level in SL looking for down stairs; no cigar. Aside from the fact that I used my Wyrmic's Burrow to uncover even all of the map that wasn't available via the worms, I also followed the worms' progress on my minimap for a long time just to make sure none of them could possibly be traveling to a room I hadn't noticed. They weren't.

I was able to salvage the situation by deleting the level file (which I don't like doing), but obviously this is pretty bad and potentially game-breaking in other situations. I can upload the removed level file if that would help.

Okay, this is getting slightly ridiculous. Sandworm Queen did not spawn, although the stairs spawned fine this time.

I'd really rather not repeat the level over again (the first time I only did one level before it glitched; this time I did all 4 and got some very nice equipment). But there's no queen on the bottom level, which means if I don't want to lose out on stats/talents that every other character gets, I need to cheese more. :( Bugs are yucky.

If I have to delete the level file again I'll set both this one and the original aside for inspection on the presumption that someone can do something about it.

Well, to the bottom again - and still no SQ. I'm assuming some kind of switch got flipped in the game telling it not to generate the queen again the FIRST time I went into the dungeon (even though I never got to level 4 due to the missing stairs), or something like that.

At any rate, this is pretty disappointing. This character will miss out on a significant amount of talents/stats because of a bug. He was going really well, too...

Edit: Is there some way to spawn the Queen via debug, and if I do, will I then be unable to upload the character/will it be marked as a cheater?

Marson has a great mod that should help with that: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?t=40980

Usually mods only apply to new games but you should be able to use it on a pre-existing one: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=41596

EDIT: I feel your pain and hopefully this helps.

Hmm, thanks, I will give it a shot.

Edit: Got it correctly installed, but no love. :(

Well, so much for that character. Putting the game on cheat mode and using CTRL+B revealed that the queen was nowhere on the level. Even summoning her directly, she still did not drop the heart. Something's messed up.

Edit:
Okay, solved. I had to "save-scum" so that my character file wasn't marked, but by turning on the debugger and using CTRL+B on the *original* level flatfile, I was able to find that the Queen was indeed on the level, but that she had spawned in a wall way up on the top of the map with no rooms nearby. Burrowing to her with my Wyrmic ability and then kiting her back worked just fine, and the character is now back on track (and hopefully bug-free henceforth).

Still, the whole "boss spawning in the middle of a wall" is definitely a problem.

Sandworm Lair is one of the specific areas that prompted me to created the addon, but I ran into issues with the collapsing walls. A creature being buried is a legitimate state even if they can't breath or tunnel in it, so it doesn't make sense to relocate them. I'm still contemplating what I should do about it. I may just put in a simple way to tell if the Queen exists or not so you know if you should keep looking for her. Any ideas are welcome.
